Yakiniku Chappie is a dog friendly yakiniku restaurant in Tokyo. Located in one of the back streets of Asakusa. Not far from the famous Kappabashi kitchenware street. We stumbled across it one of our walks and noticed a sign that said Wanchan OK. Wanchan is the Japanese word for doggy! So we got super excited. We tried to go in that day but they were fully booked so we made a reservation for the following week.
As with a lot of yakiniku restaurants in Japan, this place also has a Korean influence. As you all know my humans love Korean BBQ too so this was a perfect mix. Yakiniku, Korean BBQ AND dog friendly. What more could they ask for? As if that wasn’t enough, they also offer a reasonably priced all you can drink package! This is the ultimate.
Dog Menu
Even better is that they have their own dog menu. When we visited there were only 2 choices available but I love the fact that dog friendly restaurants here always seem to have a dog menu. I went for the chicken and it was wolfed down quickly. So it was obviously very delicious.

Unfortunately on our visit they didn’t have the humans favourite Samgyupsal available so they opted for a beef menu. Actually, they didn’t realise about the all you can drink option until the end of the meal so they just took it easy.

Prices were pretty good too. We went super early, just as it opened so we were the only ones there. This let the place down a bit as it meant there wasn’t really any atmosphere. But that was our fault. Next time we come back for sure we’ll come back a bit later as I’m sure it gets quite lively, especially with the nomihodai!
I had a great time at this dog friendly yakiniku restaurant in Tokyo. But if you are looking for other options, check out my other pet friendly recommendations here.
