Teppanyaki Advance is a great pet friendly restaurant in Tokyo that you can sit inside with your pet. It’s located just a 2 minute walk from Hiroo station so it’s ideal. Since you can go in your stroller on the metro, it makes it so convenient. Inside the restaurant I sat in my stroller at the counter but they do have private rooms you can book in advance.

What we liked about this teppanyaki restaurant is that it’s not just a dog restaurant. So we were actually the only people in the place with a dog. Sometimes when everyone has a dog it feels a bit strange, but this way it was just like a normal restaurant. Thankfully the people who were sat with us at the counter were super happy to have a dog at the table. Their son was so happy and played well and stroked me so much, it was so nice. He was such a nice young boy.
There was a dog menu that you could order steak or scrambled eggs. We chose the scrambled eggs and spinach. For the human menu there was an a la carte option or a few different set menu choices starting from ¥11,000. We chose 2 different set menu options between us.
The chef cooked all the dishes in front of us on the hot plate, including my scrambled eggs. Her attention to detail was amazing and everything was presented so well. Every single dish was absolutely delicious and we couldn’t have asked for anything more.
There was a large selection of wines and Champagnes also to complement each dish which we took full advantage of.

Conclusion
Teppanyaki restaurants are generally quite expensive, and our total bill came to just over ¥40,000. However, we feel it was totally worth it. The food was delicious. The wine was great. The fact it was dog friendly gave additional brownie points. Plus it was very convenient, within walking distance to the metro station. So we will definitely be coming back again here soon!
