It’s possible to take your dog with you on the Seoul Metro Subway. The official website states that they must travel in their carrier so that it’s not visible. You must also prevent it from bothering other passengers and any strong smells;

Since I always smell like strawberries and Champagne, this was not a problem for us. I also never make any loud noise when travelling so we weren’t worried at all. On my trip to Korea I travelled with my Sturdibag Large as this is my best travel bag for flying. So I used this every time I used the subway.

We didn’t have to buy a ticket for me. No-one ever stopped us to check size or anything. To be honest most of the time I don’t think anyone even noticed I was in the bag. We always tried to avoid peak travel times when the trains were busier so we had more space. I’m so used to being in my bag on trains now I am not phased at all and mostly just go to sleep.
We used the subway about 15 times on our trip and didn’t have any issue at all. It’s a great way to get around the city and the surrounding areas as well as being pretty cheap too.
