There are lots of places that are pet friendly in Scotland. With my roots being in Scotland I am very pleased about this. During my trip to the UK, I managed to visit Scotland twice. I got to go to both the capital, Edinburgh and Glasgow. The majority of places that I found that allowed pets in were more pubs and casual places rather than restaurants. However, I am sure that there are some decent restaurants that are pet friendly out there too.
Both times I went the covid restrictions were in place which meant that only table service was allowed. It wasn’t possible to get drinks from the bar. As we are used to living in Asia, this was perfectly normal to us and we much prefer table service than queuing up at a bar surrounded by people pushing and shoving! Some places were still adapting to the changes so were not operating as efficiently as normal. But that didn’t affect any of our visits and we all had a great time checking out all of these nice places.
Pet Friendly Glasgow

Brewdog Merchant City is one of the Brewdog chain of pubs. Primarily serving craft ales and tasty food, all of their pubs are super pet friendly. I was able to sit at the table with my pawrents and was also given a bowl of tasty water. Good pub grub with lots of different types of burgers.

O'Neills Merchant Square is a typical Irish Bar located in Merchant Square which is an indoor terrace which feels like it's outdoor. They have the indoor bar and then a section 'outside' on the square. We sat in the 'outdoor' area which had a nice atmosphere overlooking the square.

Tennant's Bar was a nice little pub we went to after our walk in Kelvingrove Park. The place was pretty busy when we got there so we sat in the back bar area which was nice as it had 3 or 4 booths which were great to sit at. They gave me free treats as well which was a big bonus!

Ubiquitous Chip is a well known bar and restuarant. There are many different areas to the place from an outside terrace a rooftop, restaurant and a bar area. Dogs are allowed in the bar, terrace and rooftop areas. The bar area still serves great food with traditional haggis, neeps and tatties too!

Inn Deep is a funky little bar with lots of grafitti all around. There is an indoor bar area which was full when we arrived. So we sat outside in a railway arch underneath a bridge. Whilst outside it did have heat lamps to keep everyone toasty. Lots of other doggos here with lots of water bowls to keep us all hydrated too.

The Bull on the way back into the City Centre is a nice place to relax with a large selection of food and drinks available.

Sloane's in the City Centre is a great pet friendly bar. They have an outdoor terrace area with lots of heat lamps. Indoors there is the more traditional bar serving a wide range of food and drinks.
Pet Friendly Edinburgh

Black Bull is in a nice part of town near to the castle. Serving a wide selection of food and drinks it's possible to sit anywhere with your four legged friends.

No 1 High Street is a great pet friendly pub on the Royal Mile. Perfect place to stop on a cold winters day to warm up with their pub grub. Staff were all super friendly giving me plenty of strokes and my own water to keep me hydrated.

The Advocate is part of the Greene King chain of pubs which are usually very pet friendly. This one is no exception, offering jars of dog treats for free from the bar as well as bowls of water. I did not need ot be asked twice to help myself!

Red Squirrel is a fantastic place to come for breakfast. I was given free doggy biscuits whilst my humans had their breakfast. The food was really yummy with a great variety of options to choose from.

The Jinglin Geordie is in a good location on a staircase from the train station up to the Royal Mile. There's a lot of stairs so not for the faint hearted! A cosy little bar with a good choice of beers and bar snacks.
Dog Friendly Highlands

Green Kettle is a B&B with a lovely little cafe attached. We stopped for breakfast which was delicious. The owners are really friendly too. Check out my full review on my blog.

Balloch House is a B&B with a great bar and restaurant. A Vintage Inn pub which are usually pet friendly. The food was great, perfect for lunch. Nice atmosphere in the bar area and prices were reasonable. Check out my full review here.

Claymore Bar is in Grantown-on-Spey near to Aviemore. Dogs are allowed but must stay on the floor, not allowed on the seats.
