Royal Beach Boutique Samui was recommended to me as a pet friendly place, and it certainly did not disappoint. With the covid pandemic still ongoing around the world, the only travelling I can do at the moment is domestically. So what better than a staycation on one of Thailand’s most beautiful islands, Koh Samui? I spent 2 years living in Koh Samui and it was about time I got to stay somewhere new.
First things first, there were no additional charges from the hotel. The only restriction that they had was that I wasn’t allowed indoors in the restaurant which is completely fair. I was allowed to stay in the room unaccompanied, and when I did, I stayed in my crate.

We stayed in the standard room and we were given a room right next to the swimming pool. The room is very modern and spacious with all the regular amenities of a hotel.
There is also a terrace outside with table and chairs as well as a swinging hammock to relax in which we took full advantage of.
We got a great rate of less than 2,000 baht per night by directly messaging the hotel on their Facebook page which is always worth doing.
The Beach

First things first we took a walk along the beach. I was shocked at how quiet it was and there were absolutely no beach dogs at all. It was heaven!
We walked around 1km and didn’t see anyone at all, I was totally in my element.
The Pool Bar

Of course after all of that walking I had built up a big thirst, so the only place to go was the pool bar! The pool bar has plenty of seats around it and a great choice of cocktails and beers to quench your thirst. I was being good so stuck to my bowl of water.
The hoomans had a dip in the pool which had a few inflatables to laze around on and I was a very good boy and lay down next to the pool the whole time.
I had already done enough swimming for the day in the sea so was more than happy to lie down and dry off.
The Beachfront Bar

As I wasn’t allowed in the inside restaurant we had dinner at the beachfront bar. They only had a limited menu due to covid but there was still plenty of choice. It was more snack style but there was definitely enough to keep the humans bellies full.
I had my own food in the room before we came out so was happy with my bowl of water.

Plenty more refreshments were had at the bar before bed and I had a really great time.
I had a really great sleep, the room was so nice and I slept on my own bed in the corner like I usually do at home.
In the morning I stayed in my crate while the humans had breakfast before it was time to say goodbye after a great stay.
Conclusion
Royal Beach Boutique Samui is definitely the most truly pet friendly hotel I’ve stayed in so far. There were no restrictions and no pet fees. Most importantly, all of the staff and the owners were great with me. It’s great to see a mid range hotel offering such a great pet friendly experience. This is definitely somewhere that I recommend for all my four legged friends to try out in Samui.
