Think Retro Cafe is another pet friendly restaurant I visited on my trip to Koh Samui. Located directly on the beach in Lipa Noi, it is close to the Raja Ferry port. That means it’s a great option if you are waiting for a ferry or as your first port of call in Samui.
When we went we were the only customers. The place did seem like it hadn’t had much business lately as things were a bit run down compared to previous times my pawrents had been. As it is directly on the beach, the views are really cool, and you can walk along the beach before or after your lunch.
There are plenty of seating options with tables on the beach or in the sala area. We chose to sit on beanbags with low tables. That meant me and the pawrents were all comfy together at the same height and I was able to relax very well.

There was so much yummy food on the menu, it was hard to decide what to eat. Take a look for yourself at some of the yummy dishes. What would you choose?
The pawrents chose 3 dishes to share. They tried the Khai Yad Sai, Khao Pad Moo and the Lab Moo Thod. A Coke and a hot latte were ordered to wash down the food. The total bill came to 520 baht (US$15.60) but they gave us an extra 15% discount for covid so we only paid 460 baht including tip (US$13.80). A bit on the high side for Thai food but it was a touristy kind of place so always expect prices to be a bit higher.
The food was all very delicious. So my pawrents told me. As all dishes contained garlic, chilli or both, I couldn’t have any š

This place was a really good place for a chilled out lunch. There was plenty of space to relax and chill out. With no soi dogs to be seen it was great for me. The big bean bags were super comfy. I will definitely come back here again. Hopefully when tourists begin to come back they will be able to renovate a bit to make it even better.
I’d give a 9/10 overall marking down only as the place is a little bit tired and in need of a bit of renovations. But food, drinks, prices and pet friendly attitude made up for it.
