French Bakery Chaweng is a great place to head for breakfast or lunch. Open every day 8am – 4pm except Wednesday when it is closed. I’ve seen many different doggos here with their pawrents having some tasty food.
We never tried to go inside, as I don’t think it’s right. I understand not everyone likes doggos so it’s only fair to stay outside. They have a decent sized terrace with 5 or 6 tables and I always sit out here. If it’s quiet enough I get to pull up a chair and have my own seat which is pretty cool. It gives me a place to lie down in anticipation of the tasty food about to descend.
The Food
They have a number of choices of set breakfasts to choose from named after the different areas of Samui. My pawrents both chose the Maenam breakfast which comes with eggs of your choice, bacon, bread of your choice, tea or coffee and some orange juice. All this for 170 baht (US$5)! Mammy isn’t a fan of tea or coffee so she ordered a raspberry smoothie for 90 baht (US$2.70) and daddy loves coffee so he ordered an extra one (even after drinking mammy’s) for 50 baht (US$1.50). Overall the bill came to 480 baht (US$14.50). They also sell breads, croissants and pastries and offer a good range of crepes as well as delicious sandwiches and quiches etc so it’s also a good option for lunch too.
The food is always very good here. It’s definitely one of our preferred places to come for breakfast. Look at how yummy the food looks!

Yummy eggs and bacon
My patience paid off as I got to eat some of the scrumptious bacon. I mean, how could you say no to these puppy dog eyes?!
The staff are super friendly here, I don’t even growl or bark when they come close to me any more. Sometimes I even get a few free strokes and belly rubs!
I give French Bakery 10/10. It’s pet friendly, good food, good prices and great staff. Good job 🙂
