Copper has been a fantastic new addition to the Samui food scene earlier this year. Unfortauntely, it opened just before we were leaving Samui so didn’t get to try it out much before we left. So when we went back on this roadtrip I knew I had to go back.
Copper is extremely pet friendly. The owners (who used to be my neighbours) have 2 of their own dogs, Rocky & Stella the Chihuaha’s. Stella is still a pup so I hadn’t met her before and it was great to see Rocky again! As the owners are pet lovers, it goes without saying that their place would be pet friendly.
This is one of the very few places that allows you to sit with your pet indoors. The only exception is the AC enclosed room. However, the way that Copper is designed, it has an industrial/warehouse type feel which is really open and airy. So you don’t need to go in side the AC room anyway as there’s more than enough breeze in the main area. I made myself right at home straight away!
The Food
The place is designed in an industrial/warehouse type style and has been done to a very high level. So you would expect that the prices would reflect that. However, the prices are extremely reasonable. We came for breakfast and opted for the poached eggs (70 baht / US$2.10 with a side of bacon (40 baht/ US$1.20) and the continental breakfast (180 baht/ US$5.40). For drinks we had a berry smoothie (100 baht / US$3) and a latte (70 baht / US$2.10).
All of the food was extremely delicious. As you can see I had my eye on the bacon as soon as it arrived. Thankfully I was lucky enough to get a little piece.
Even the drinks were amazing. You can barely even see my head over the size of the ginormous smoothie!
Copper definitely gets a 11/10 from me. It’s one of the most pet friendly places I’ve been too. Bonus point for allowing me to sit indoors too. The food was great, the prices very reasonable and the staff are super friendly, especially Rocky & Stella 😉
