Beach 59 is a lovely beachfront restaurant in the Ban Makham area of Samui. We stumbled across this place during a drive around the island and it was a great choice. The restaurant is decorated very well with lots of cute little corners which are perfectly instagrammable.
It is a small restaurant overlooking the beach where you can sit and watch the ferries come in from the mainland. There are plenty of different seating areas from small tables, sofas, normal tables and beanbags.
The menu was primarily Thai food which was right up our street. A few dishes were chosen to be shared. The pawrents opted for the pork with garlic and pepper, chicken bits cooked in garlic and some vegetable fried rice. The food was all really yummy and had sooo much garlic. I so wished I could have eaten some, it smelled delicious. Mammy and daddy didn’t hesitate to polish everything off in no time. I was luck enough to get my chops around some of the rice though so at least I didn’t miss out altogether.
Mammy forgot to note the individual prices, but the total bill came to less than 500 baht / US$15 for 3 dishes and 2 soft drinks. A bit on the higher side for Thai food but the food was delicious and the setting is really great. It would be perfect for sundown to see the beautiful sunsets.
On the beach they also have cool photo spots as well. Perfect for making your friends jealous on Instagram. I spent a good while making sure I got to sniff them all. I also got to enjoy a stroll along the beach to stretch my legs. The beach is my favourite, it’s so much fun.
My favourite photo spot was the swing. It was so relaxing to swing freely with the wind in my fur. What do you think? Which is your favourite spot?
I will give Beach 59 Samui a 10/10. The setting was beautiful, there had been a lot of care taken over all of the decor. The food was super tasty and price was reasonable. I was able to wander around anywhere with no restrictions which gives many more brownie points.
I will definitely come back here next time I am in Samui. Can’t wait!
