Queen Victoria Gosforth is a pet friendly pub on Gosforth High Street. Dogs are allowed anywhere inside which is great. Often places will only allow dogs in certain areas which can be a pain if they are busy. But Queen Vic is extremely pet friendly.
We went during lunch time and they have a special offer of 2 courses for £9.99. Most main meals are around £8.50 – £9.50 so it was a good deal to go for the special. There were other specials on the TV also for various nights showcasing quiz nights and other discounts.
There were lots of choices available and between us we ordered 2 x scampi, 3 x gammon and a pepperoni pizza. All the men had the gammon steak and they all said it was the best gammon they had ever had! That’s some statement! The scampi also got rave reviews, and whilst the pizza was fine, it wasn’t top notch like the other meals.
The desserts were all super tasty too, with us having a mixture of brownies, ice cream and waffles. We left the place thoroughly stuffed! I’m sure there were a few cheeky snoozes when everyone got home ;’)
The Queen Victoria Gosforth is definitely a great choice for a pet friendly pub in Newcastle. The staff were all really friendly and helpful and the food was great. It’s the perfect place to spend a lazy afternoon with some good food, good friends and a few drinks.
