Ploy Resort is a great pet friendly hotel in Kanchanaburi. It’s perfectly located right on the main street. That means there are plenty of great bars and restaurants within walking distance. It’s also within walking distance to the famous Bridge over the River Khwai. It took us about 20 minutes to walk from the hotel to the Bridge. It’s about an hours drive to Hellfire Pass, but it’s a pretty easy drive. The cemetery is also within walking distance, but we didn’t visit there.
We stayed in the garden room which cost 1,200 baht per night (approx US$32). The room itself was spacious and well equipped, although basic. We had a window out to a small garden which was nice. The hotel itself is quite small with not so many rooms so had a nice feel to it. There was a pet fee but this was only 100 baht per night which I thought was pretty good, although still would prefer it was 0! The price included breakfast, although it was a very basic breakfast which consisted of tea/coffee and toast. You could pay extra for eggs, bacon or sausages but it wasn’t that great and not really worth it. On our second morning we opted to eat out at Bojangles cafe across the road which did a full english breakfast which was great.

Conclusion
Overall I would give Ploy Resort 25/30;
Room quality : 5/5 (totally fine for the price)
Price per night : 5/5 (great value for money including breakfast)
Breakfast : 1/5 (very poor choice and had to pay extra for most stuff)
Pet friendly areas : 5/5 (was allowed everywhere other than the pool)
Pets allowed to be left unattended in the room : 5/5
Pet fee charged : Yes, but reasonable at 100 baht per night : 4/5
All in all Ploy Resort was a great pet friendly hotel in Kanchanaburi and we would stay here again if we were to come back to Kanchanaburi.
Check out some other pet friendly hotels I’ve stayed out here. Woof woof, Wylie x
