Ushisuke Yokohama is the most pet friendly yakiniku restaurant I’ve ever been too. It is actually my first yakiniku restaurant I’ve been to. Although I’d say it’s the best pet friendly restaurant I’ve ever been to. It’s not so easy to find pet friendly restaurants in Japan I’ve found, especially not to sit inside. So when we came across this one I was super excited.
Not only is Ushisuke pet friendly, it’s really catered for dogs and fully welcomes them. Pretty much everyone we saw eating here had a furry friend with them. They have some simple rules to follow as you enter, but I couldn’t get over how pet friendly it was. Dogs are allowed at the tables, they get their own menu and even get their own utensils!
The Menu
The menu itself is very extensive offering different portions for different size dogs in all kinds of meat.
The Food
I chose the small beef option and it came with 2 slices of the most yummy looking beef. On the side there was some carrot puree also. Mammy grilled the meat ever so slightly then cut it up into smaller pieces and mixed it in the bowl with the carrot puree. I couldn’t bear the anticipation I was so excited! When I finally got to eat it, I was in heaven. It was so yummy, it was gone in seconds!
The humans food was also delicious. So much so they ordered another round once they had finished! Price was not so bad considering the quality of the food and just the fact that I got to enjoy it with the humans. We went to the branch in Yokohama at Marine & Walk, but they have many other branches around Japan. I’m definitely going to try more of them out in the future!
