Masuzushi is a fine dining pet friendly sushi restaurant in Tokyo. Located just a 5 minutes walk from Tokyo station it’s in a great easy to access location. We took the metro to Hibiya station so we could go in the stroller. From Hibiya it’s about a 20 minute walk. So still super convenient.
Pets are allowed at the tables on the second floor, but not at the counter on the ground floor. If you bring a stroller you can leave it on the ground floor and carry the dog upstairs. The dogs are allowed to sit at the table with you, but you should put a blanket down under them.
There is a fee of ¥1,650 per dog for dining, but this includes 1 meal from the dog menu. The dog menu itself is very extensive! They don’t have sushi on the menu for dogs, but a large choice of meat dishes. I went for the horse meat stew and it was delicious.

Human Menu
For humans, there was an a la carte menu and a number of set menu’s. Since they aren’t usually adventurous with their sushi choices they opted for 2 different set menu’s. They thought they would test themselves! Both set menu’s came with appetisers, sashimi and nigiri options. The total amount for both set menu’s, the dog fee and 2 beers each was ¥22,627. Given it was fine dining, the amount of food we had and the quality, it was definitely worth it.
Some of the pieces were a challenge as they were slightly larger than you would get at a standard family sushi restaurant such as Kappa Sushi or Kura Sushi. It’s still difficult for us to eat some of these larger pieces. However, the quality was very good which made it a lot easier!

There were other people in the restaurant with dogs, as well as plenty of people without them. So you have to remain well behaved otherwise you might get thrown out. All of the staff were very friendly. The tables were separated with dividers so you weren’t sat directly next to others. However, at the same time, you weren’t tucked away in a private room. So you could still see what was going on in the restaurant.
Conclusion
A fantastic pet friendly sushi restaurant close to Tokyo station. Great for those who want to try something better than the standard conveyor belt family style sushi restaurants. There’s a lack of options when it comes to eating sushi with your dog, so you should certainly check out Mazu Sushi.
