Finding a pet friendly restaurant in Tokyo isn’t always easy. We usually use Tabelog to find pet friendly restaurants but it can still be a challenge as even if a restaurant says they are pet friendly, a lot only allow you to sit outside on the terrace. So when the weather is too hot in the summer, or too cold in the winter, where can we go? Below you will find a list of my favourite pet friendly restaurants in Tokyo that will allow you to sit indoors with your pet.
Mazu Sushi
Mazu Sushi is a fine dining sushi restaurant near Tokyo Station. Dogs are allowed on the second floor, but not at the counter on the first floor. There is a pet fee of ¥1,650 which includes a dog meal from the dog menu. Humans have the choice of a la carte sushi or you can choose from a number of set menu’s. The sushi was high quality and very delicious.

Nihonbashi Sushi Ko
Nihonbashi Sushi Ko is a small sushi restaurant next to Nihonbashi station. A great option for sushi beginners, you can watch the chef prepare it at the counter. Only small dogs allowed and I recommend to book in advance. The lunch set menu’s are a bargain, starting from only ¥1,000. There’s no dog menu but I got to eat some of the humans sushi.

Gostoso Churrascaria
Gostoso is a churrascaria restaurant near to Roppongi station. Offering a set course with 10 meats as well as various nomihodai options. Dogs are welcome at all seats, although I chose to stay in my stroller at the table. Great for celebrating birthdays, if you book a couple of days in advance you can order a doggy birthday cake too.

Sadajuro Yakitori
Sadajuro Yakitori is a great yakitori restaurant in Nakameguro. They have a dedicated pet room to the side of the main restaurant. You can either sit at the counter or at a table seat. The pet room fits about 10 in total so it’s important to make a reservation in advance. You can order a la carte yakitori as well as various set menu options. There is also a yakitori dog menu. You can’t get any better than that!

Teppanyaki Advance
Teppanyaki Advance is a teppanyaki restaurant close to Hiroo station. A pet friendly restaurant you can sit at the counter and watch the chef cook your dinner in front of you. As well as teppanyaki, the okonomiyaki is very popular here. With various course menu’s as well as a dog menu, it’s a great evening out for fine dining.

Manten
Manten is a small Izakaya/Yakiniku restaurant at Minowa Station on the Hibiya line. The restaurant has 3 of their own dogs so you will always be welcome here with your furry friends. Perfect for a casual evening, mixing with locals and enjoying delicious beef and beers.

With Cafe Asakusa
With Cafe is a cute little cafe less than 10 minutes walk from Asakusa station. There is an indoor terrace that you can sit with your dog. They have a great range of snacks, cakes and drinks. Unfortunately they don’t have a dog menu but there are bowls with water as well as blankets from Dog Dept to sit on.

Brave Burger Kannamachi
Brave Burger is a casual burger sports bar in Kannamachi. It’s not far from Mizumoto Park which is our favourite Tokyo park to go to. A great range of burgers from around ¥1,500 it’s a great pit stop to recharge the batteries after a long walk in the park.

I hope you get to enjoy some of my favourite pet friendly restaurants in Tokyo. If you get to visit any of them please let us know in the comments below. Or if you have others to recommend I can try out, I will be more than happy to test them out!
