We spent one night at Rustic & Blue Getaway, a pet friendly Patong hotel. Only a 10 minute walk from the (in)famous Bangla Road. It’s a great location for those wanting to be close to the action but not right in the midst of it. There were plenty of bars and restaurants on the walk along too if you wanted something a bit more quiet.
The Hotel & Room
The hotel itself was done out in a Bohemian kind of Bali style. With lots of wood decoration it had a great vibe. It felt like it was catering a bit more to the hippy/relaxed vibe as it was also selling cannabis products at the reception.
All the staff were super chilled and friendly as well as super helpful. We booked direct with the hotel as we got the best rate. We paid 3,202 baht (£70) for the night which included breakfast so was a pretty good deal. The room was a little basic but for the price we weren’t expecting a lot. However, it had everything we needed, was clean and modern and had a view over the swimming pool area from the balcony.
Pet Fees
There were no pet fees at all to pay, no additional cleaning costs or deposit and I was able to stay alone in the room when the humans went for dinner. I was also allowed in the restaurant area while the humans had breakfast and they sold dog treats at the reception. Top marks for being pet friendly!
Breakfast
Breakfast was probably the biggest let down of the stay. You ordered from an a la carte menu but the portions were super small. We aren’t big breakfast eaters and we were still hungry. If you wanted an extra coffee/drink it was also chargeable. So I think those who look forward to breakfast would be disappointed.
Conclusion
Overall, this is a great pet friendly Patong hotel. With no pet fees and no restrictions in a great location we couldn’t really ask for more! The only letdown was the breakfast but we aren’t big breakfast people so it didn’t spoil it for us.
