Palermo itself is very pet friendly. So many people there have dogs and as such, almost everywhere is pet friendly. It’s very refreshing when adding a pet to your hotel search that the number of options doesn’t diminish to a handful. So I was spoilt for choice when trying to decide where to stay. Fortunately the humans made the absolute best decision in choosing La Casa Di Tosca Air BnB apartment.
We were staying in Palermo for a full month so it was really important we had a nice place to stay. As we aren’t typical tourists, we would be spending a good amount of time in the apartment. It was therefore necessary to make sure we had a good space. We certainly weren’t disappointed with our choice.
The owner of the Air BnB, Fulvio was absolutely the best host you could possibly ask for. He was so responsive, so deeply passionate about making the apartment amazing, and super helpful. You may recall he even tried to help me get my EU pet passport when we were hitting a brick wall.
Location
The location couldn’t have been any better. It was right next door to Casa Di Paolo, which was where Paolo Borsellini was born. As well as Piazza Maggiore which is a lovely park where locals gather to chill out, play music, have a quiet drink in the sun. It was absolutely perfect for my walkies every day. I got to meet lots of new furfriends.
There was also so many bars, restaurants, shops and supermarkets so closeby. The main shopping streets were just a short stroll away. With the train station a mere 10 minutes walk. What more could you ask for?
The Apartment
The apartment itself was fantastic. It is a 1 bedroom apartment with mezzanine bedroom. This made it super cool. Fulvio has retained so many of the original features with old wooden beams and a beautiful stone arch.
He has tastefully decorated it and has spent so much time and effort making it perfect. The attention to detail is second to none and it is equipped with the best quality items. All of the bed linen and towels are from White Company, he even has a Dyson!
As the bedroom was upstairs this was great as it meant that I could sit up here when the humans went out without disturbing the neighbours by barking at every passer by!

The only thing that would have made this amazing place even better would have been if we had a small balcony to sit outside on. However, we had the most amazing stay regardless of that and if we wanted to go outside we would just go and sit in the park.
I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone who may have a few days in Palermo. I am sure if you mention my name to Fulvio he would also be happy to give a discount to any of my furfriends ;’)
