Manten Izakaya is a pet friendly Izakaya restaurant in Minowa, Tokyo. Only a few minutes walk from Minowa station on the Hibiya metro line it’s easy access with your stroller. Manten specialises in meat and yakiniku and they have a great selection of different cuts of beef.
It’s a small family izakaya that gets a lot of locals and regulars visiting. Every time we have been, everyone has been super friendly. Manten is run by a lovely couple and they have 3 dogs of their own that are allowed to roam free around the izakaya.
We always choose a mixture of meats as well as a few salad options. They do have a small dog menu as well of various kinds of meat, which always gets bonus points!
Manten is a really cool izakaya. The seats are old beer barrels and the tables are made from old beer boxes. It’s really funky. You will get to make some new friends and be prepared for the doggies to come and sit with you wanting head rubs.
