We headed to Itaewon to see if we could find any pet friendly places. As we had struggled around the Seoul station area, we wanted to see if we could find more places around the Itaewon area as a few people had mentioned to us there would be more places there. They weren’t wrong and we found a couple of cool places to hang out at and have dinner and drinks.
We first took the subway for a few stops and arrived at Itaewon. Before we looked for pet friendly places, we decided to just have a stroll around the area. My humans had been here before but it was many years ago so it was nice for us all to have a look around together. We arrived about 4pm and lots of places were closed. I’m not sure if this was a result of COVID, or it was just a bit early.
Vatos Mexican
The first place we found that was pet friendly was Vatos Mexican restaurant. They didn’t have any signs saying they were pet friendly but they had a big terrace area so it’s always a good chance they’ll allow if they have an outdoor area. We were in luck. There was a perfect table at the top of the terrace and they said we could sit here 🙂
We chose a couple of sets of tacos and they did huge frozen margarita’s. The humans were very happy! The tacos themselves weren’t really the best we’ve ever had but they did the job. The best thing is that we could all sit together and there were no restrictions on me. I sat on the bench for a while on my blanket, and then went into my Sturdibag for a bit to chill out.

Blacklist
After dinner, the humans found an online recommendation for Blacklist rooftop bar. It was real close to Vatos so we headed across after another walk around to work off those tacos! It’s on the 3rd floor of the building and they have 2 floors in total, one indoors and one outdoors. We headed up to the top floor as we wanted to sit out on the terrace.

The owner/manager came over and said I was allowed to roam around off leash! Wow, amazing. However, there were a few other people there and my humans know I can be a bit naughty with strangers, jumping to get their treats, so I stayed on my lead the whole time. But it’s a great option to come to if you are OK with your dog off leash. There was another dog there who was having a wail of a time. We played for a little bit too when he came over.
They do great cocktails and also had mammy’s favourite, sparkling wine! So the humans were very happy and so was I. I got my water and my dinner so I was a very happy boy.
Conclusion
Overall we found that it was much more pet friendly in Itaewon than around the station area. If you have other recommendations for pet friendly places in Itaewon, let me know in the comments below.
