Athenee Bangkok is another dog friendly hotel in Bangkok. Just a 6 minute walk from Phloen Chit BTS station it’s in a great location. As a 5* hotel, it’s on the pricier end of the scale at around 7,000 baht per night.
They have a size restriction of up to 7kg which limits pets to the smaller kind. Hopefully I would be able to sneak in at just a few hundred grams over the limit! The dog must be on a lead at all times except when in the room and cannot be left unattended. This is a show stopper for us. As we like to do things in the city which is difficult to do with a dog. So to not be able to leave Wylie in the room without us means that this is not a hotel that would suit us to be honest.
Not only that, but when taking dogs outside, you must use the service lift not the normal lift. They also aren’t allowed in any of the food and beverage outlets so I’m not sure how you are supposed to have breakfast without having to leave the dog in the room. All of these things lead us to believe that this it not really a pet friendly hotel, rather a pets allowed hotel.
The full pet policy can be found below;

Conclusion
For us, we wouldn’t stay at Athenee Bangkok. We don’t feel that it is a dog friendly hotel in Bangkok, more of a pets allowed option. For us, that just doesn’t work, so will not be visiting any time soon unless their policy were to change.
