The Lingholm Estate Kitchen & Walled Garden is a perfect stop off towards the end of the Derwentwater walk. Around the 9 mile marker you come to the fantastic Lingholm Estate. It appears that there are a number of lovely cottages to stay at. As well as a very pet friendly restaurant which has a great outdoor terrace to sit at. We sat here at first as there were no tables inside but it quickly got cold. As soon as a table came up inside we moved straight in.
It was great that we were able to sit inside with a dog as not everywhere allows this. However, we found that most places in Keswick were very pet friendly. Even indoors. They have big wooden benches to sit at which are ideal for pooches.
Prices are pretty reasonable too. Unfortuantely mammy forgot to take any pictures so I don’t have any to share. If you look on their website though, you can see plenty of pictures and it looks exactly like it does on the website.
I imagine on a summers day it would be lovely to sit outside on the terrace. I bet it will get very busy here in the summer.
The Kitchen & Walled Garden is definitely somewhere I would love to go back to. 10/10 for being pet friendly.
