Pet friendly restaurants aren’t a huge thing in Japan, despite it being a huge pet loving country. However, there are plenty of great options to choose from. There’s a lot more options that allow you to sit outside on the terrace. But there are still a number of places we have found that you can sit indoors with your furry friends. As I spend more time exploring Japan, I’ll be adding more restaurants and bars to my ever growing list for you to try out.
The main places I hang out are in Tokyo & Yokohama. Now we have a car, I do venture further afield as well as in the campervan so you can check out some other places here too.
Sitting on the terrace is great in spring and autumn but a bit difficult in the summer heat and winter cold! I’m working on finding more restaurants that we can sit indoors with pets. I’ll keep updating my pages when I can.
Most people here have prams for their dogs. Which makes it a lot easier for them to be allowed to dine with you. We put off getting a stroller for so long. However, the attraction of being able to go to more pet friendly places was too much. We finally caved and got a stroller and now it has opened up so many more dining options for us.
