Hua Hin

My base in Thailand is now Hua Hin so I love looking for pet friendly places in Hua Hin. It seems that there are quite a few places here that allow your furry friends to go along with you. You can check out my full reviews on the Blog.

Places I visit range from restaurants, beaches and places for walkies. As well as the essentials such as vets , boarders and grooming salons. Below you can see some of those places that I have already been to.

Pet Friendly Restaurants Hua Hin

It appears that are quite a few restaurants that allow dogs. Since I was back in Hua Hin for a while, I was able to test out a lot more places. Here are some of my favourites so far.

Khao Tao Beach Lodge is a beachfront restaurant in Khao Tao. Serving primarily German style food this is a great place to hang out.

The food is delicious and reasonably priced. Post food you can run on the beach which is very quiet with no soi dogs that we saw.

Check out my full review on my blog. I am looking forward to going back on the evening for a full night out.
Big Mama's Sports Bar is a very pet friendly bar at the end of Soi 112. It does the most amazing Sunday Roasts and welcomes dogs both inside and outside. They also have a normal daily menu with both Thai and Western dishes.

The staff are super friendly, the food is really delicious and the prices are great. Check out my full review here. I'll definitely become a regular here in the future!
Kwanjai Cafe & Bistro is a hidden gem not far from the floating market. It has a Japanese theme which as you all know is my favourite!

They offer a range of Thai dishes, lots of yummy shakes and drinks as well as lots of delicious cakes!

Walk through the Tori gate and enjoy some time in the garden with the sakura trees overlooking a pretty lake. Check out my full review here.
Zabwer is a fantastic restaurant with a huge choice of excellent British dishes as well as Thai food on Soi 112. From roast dinners, toad in the hole, curries, you name it you can get it here. They even do apple crumble & custard!

Prices are as expected for Western food a bit on the higher side but worth it. The portions are huge too.

Check out my full review here.
Rafferty's is an Irish bar serving typical British food such as hearty English breakfasts and traditional Sunday Roast's. The perfect way to start your day.

Dogs are allowed outside on the terrace. There are a couple of Soi dogs hanging around but they are very friendly and very grateful for any leftovers!

Staff are friendly and prices are good. Check out my full review here.
Madam Green Seafood Restaurant is located directly on the beach in Khao Takiab. I was allowed to sit at the table too.

Great Thai food slightly high prices but well worth it.

Great for filling up your belly before or after a big walk on the beach. Check out my full review on the blog.
Sanae Beach Club is directly located on Sai Noi beach. It's a hotel as well so you can stay the night with your furry friends. But you can simply walk in for lunch or dinner and all doggos are welcome.

A bit expensive as it's right on the beach but the food was lovely. It looks like you can also use the pool if you eat at the restaurant which seemed popular for families with kids. Check out my full review here.
Praca at The Standard hotel is a great beachfront bar that is pet friendly. The hotel itself is pet friendly too but has quite high pet fees. As a 5* hotel, expect prices to be quite high but the view is lovely, staff are great and it's a great place to wind down after a hard day.

Pet Friendly Beaches Hua Hin

As you can see from my blog I stayed at a number of beachfront hotels. I’ve also been for a few walkies on different beaches. These are my favourites.

Khao Takiab beach is currently very quiet. I'm not sure if it gets busier outside of covid, but now it is pretty quiet. Especially in the morning, there is almost noone around apart from the odd horse rider.

When the tide is out there is sooo much space to run. The sea is not deep so can do lots of splish splash. I don't really like swimming but getting more confident.

At sunset time the beach becomes busier with people walking, running and walking doggos. I didn't see any soi dogs any of the times I went there.

Places for Walkies

Now I have my own super sized garden I didn’t think I’d still get to go out for many walkies. However, my pawrents still want to get me out and about as much as possible. So they are always on the hunt for areas where I can go for big walkies. You may recall one of my favourite places for walkies in Samui was Chaweng Lake. Guess what, my pawrents found me a new lake to walk around! I am a super happy boy!

Khao Tao Lake as it's name suggests it as Khao Tao. It's a large lake with a great path around it. In total it's about 3km long and takes about 40 minutes to walk around. Allowing plenty of time for sniffs. 90% of the pathway is free from soi dogs as it's kind of 'floating' in the lake.

The length along the main road does have some dogs from the shops there. Also near to the temple entrance. So far I haven't had any problems or made any enemies with them yet. But please remain vigilent.

Grooming

I found the perfect groomers in Puppy Love. Check out the video below of my full grooming session with them and see how much of a good boy I am.

Boarding

All of my previous boarders have been home boarders. My pawrents don’t want me staying anywhere that has cages. Which is always a bit harder to find. But I am a pampered pooch and I love my home comforts. They want to know that if they are I feel at home wherever I am staying.

I have come across Doggy Paradise which seems to fit the bill nicely. Small dogs sleep on the sofa with the staff. How cool is that?! Exactly what I am looking for. Also so nice they class me as a small dog and not a fatty like some people call me :p

I am hoping to go check them out soon and make sure my pawrents are happy with everything. Although with covid restrictions it’s unlikely they’ll be travelling soon (which is pawesome for me, I love having them home all the time). It’s always good to be prepared to make sure they find the right place. I do need my luxuries.

Vets

Thankfully I haven’t needed a vet since moving here. However, my pawrents of course want to make sure to be prepared just in case. Many people have recommended to me Tian Diau Pet Hospital. So I will keep this in mind for when I next need one.
