Dog Park 49 is as the name suggests, a park for dogs. Not only that, they have daycare, doggy hotel, grooming, swimming, pet shop as well as a dog friendly café where the parents can eat and drink.
The price for entrance to the park is 150 baht on a weekday or 250 baht on the weekend. This gives you an all day pass for the dog park and you can come and go as many times as you like throughout the day. There is also a 100 baht fee for the access card but this is refunded when you leave as long as you hand back the card.
Unless you are booked for daycare, your pawrents must supervise you at all times in the park. When in the café you must also be on your leash. On the times that we’ve been there a lot of pawrents don’t seem to adhere to either of these rules though which is quite annoying as the rules should apply to everyone.
Big dogs and small dogs play in the same area with no separation so I was a little scared of the bigger dogs at first but soon built up my confidence and was zooming around in no time. The grass is artifical with a number of plants and trees around the outskirts. The staff are constantly going around picking up the poop and spraying down the area where the doggos pee but you do still get a whiff of pee every now and again.
AC Room & Swimming Pool
There is an air conditioned room where the doggos can chill out in when the heat gets too much. It has a separate gate so you can’t keep going in and out easily. Every time we have been there has been a doggo having a swim so this seems a very popular option. I absolutely hate swimming in the pool so I haven’t used this. Even when I had my own pool in Samui I avoided it like the plague. So you won’t be catching me here any time soon.
Store
The store is very well stocked with a range of dog treats and accessories to peruse and treat yourself with at the end of a hard day running around. I haven’t tried the doggy hotel. However, as they offer a caged environment overnight, I prefer more of a home environment. So I probably won’t use this either.
Cafe
The cafe is really nice. My pawrents had a smoothie and coffee once we were done with my zooming around. Prices are reasonable as well. They offer a pet taxi service too. As I always go with my pawrents we always just take a Grab which is easy enough and very cheap.
Grooming
I have used the grooming services here too. This is operated via an Independent company, Bark Lounge and I will do a separate review of this place soon.
Hope you enjoyed my experience at Dog Park 49 and hope to see you there one day. Don’t forget to check out other pet friendly places in Bangkok. That’s all for now. Woof woof, Wylie x
