Claymore Bar Grantown is a dog friendly bar in Grantown which is a small town not far from Aviemore. We didn’t plan to go to Grantown but after my injury at Loch An Eilein I had to go here for the vets. In the end we booked a hotel in Grantown instead of Aviemore to save us going back on ourselves.
The Claymore Bar was situated just across the road from our hotel so it was very convenient. Mammy and daddy had a meal first at Sylhet Brasserie which is an Indian/Bangladeshi restaurant. I stayed in the hotel whilst they were having their dinner so I could rest and help my paw to heal.
After dinner they came to collect me and we went across the road to Claymore bar.

There was a sign on the door saying that dogs were allowed as long as they stayed off the seats. Usually I will sit on a seat if I am on my blanket but we followed the rules and I stayed on the floor. Of course I still had my Scoot blanket to keep me cosy. There were a couple of other dogs in here too when I visited.
As it was mid week the bar was pretty quiet but the barman was really friendly. We had a couple of drinks before having an early night. Grantown itself is a quiet town overall so there wasn’t too much going on.
