We found Churchills Brussels bar online when we were looking for bars that would be showing the Premier League. We wanted to watch the Newcastle Vs Chelsea game and Churchills came up as the best bar to watch it.
It was only a few minutes walk from our Air BnB so it was perfect. Churchills is advertised as an English Bar and alongside all the Belgian beers you’d expect to find in Belgium you can also find beers like Caffrey’s.
One other thing that sets it apart as an English bar is that it sold Walkers crisps, and not just any kind but Salt and Vinegar! It’s so hard to find salt and vinegar crisps outside of the UK!
When we arrived there was only 1 other person in the bar so we weren’t expecting much atmosphere for the football. They welcomed me with open arms and said I could sit anywhere.
We ordered a couple of Belgian Beers and sat down on an table facing the TV. For a bar that shows football regularly we would have expected a few bigger screens, but they did the job.
As kick off time approached a few more people trickled in but overall it didn’t get very busy. I wouldn’t say it was a great bar to watch the football. The lack of big screens and minimal atmosphere wasn’t great. But at least we got to watch it! So I would still recommend Churchills Brussels as an option for watching the footy.
Check out what else I got up to in Brussels in my video. As well as keep up to date with my full Europe trip here.
