Balloch House is a hotel in Balloch, Scotland. We didn’t stay at the hotel but stopped off for some lunch after exploring the area around Loch Lomond. Balloch House is part of the Vintage Inn chain of pubs which are quite often dog friendly. There’s a sign at the door stating muddy boots and paws are welcome.

We were only allowed to sit in the bar area which is pretty standard and perfect for us. We were sat near to a lovely wood fire. There was the option to order from the app. However, before we had a chance to download it, someone came to the table to take our order.
The Food
There was a great range of food options to choose from. As we were in for lunch we chose lighter options of a fish finger sandwich and a roast beef sandwich which were £7.25 and £7.95 respecitvely. Both came with chips. We were impressed with the food, it was really nice. You can check out the full menu here.

The food was really yummy and was the perfect size for lunch. The staff were all super friendly and we found the prices OK. Maybe a bit high for a sandwich at lunch, but we found the prices similar at most places throughout our trip.
After we had finished, the Balloch House was the perfect location for another short walk along the river to walk off the food. It was really pretty and thankfully the rain had stopped by the time we had finished.
Conclusion
The Balloch House is a great dog friendly place for food & drinks. Nice friendly staff, yummy food at OK prices and great options for me to sit at. I’d definitely come back here if I am in the area again in the future.
